Our name is Wanto and Siti, we live at KutaEcoStay. Far more importantly we run our eco-friendly homestay (guesthouse) and it’s us who will make your visit to Kuta EcoStay awesome!
Kuta EcoStay isn’t for everyone, in fact we only have a small number of cosy rooms (all with premium queen sized double beds and separate WCs/showers) on two floors.
So who is Kuta EcoStay for?
Our home Kuta EcoStay is for you and a close partner /friend if:
- You are fed up with large impersonal star-rated hotels and like the cosy atmosphere of a homestay/guesthouse
- You like meeting people, especially like-minded folks
- You expect value-for-money when staying somewhere
- You have an eco-conscience and want to minimise your carbon footprint
- You love Bali and don’t want your stay to contribute to harming Bali’s pristine environment
- You are a budget minded traveller who needs to stretch your funds as far as poss
- You like to be connected at all times and expect free hi-speed Wi-Fi
- You want to be walking distance to Kuta beach ( say a max 500m walk from where you stay)
- You don’t want to hassle with the traffic when you go to the nearby shops and eateries
- You need to be in the heart of Kuta for the action and nightlife but don’t want to stay on a busy main road
- You want a safe secure clean green place to stay
- You like to relax at a private rooftop bar in the evenings
- You like a guestroom with separate WC and shower, especially if it has a rainshower
- You like a ceiling fan in your room, as well as the choice of using AC if necessary
- You like rooms with 3m high ceilings for good ventilation, lots of natural light and windows
- You like a room with a high standard of facilities such as fridge, coffee/tea set, quality bed linen and towels, non-slip tiles in the WC/Shower
- You don’t need a swim pool and enjoy swimming in the sea instead
- You want to stay at the best value (but not necessarily the cheapest) homestay in Kuta.

If you like what you see, then contact us through the website and tell us what dates you would like to stay. We will email back to you real quick whether we have availability on those dates, since we are minimalist in every sense so we don’t have heaps of guestrooms. We promise to reply to you quickly so you are left in no doubt.
A deposit is required within 72 hours when your booking request is confirmed by us. This can be by internet bank transfer to our AUD bank account in Australia or in IDR to our local bank account in Indonesia. Our room tariff is priced in AUD , and you pay your bill in full (less the deposit pre-paid) on arrival at Kuta EcoStay in local currency (IDR) or foreign currency/travellers cheques (AUD, USD or Euro).
If in Kuta, just pop in and check us out………..we are just 50m from the famous Warung Made restaurant in Kuta. Our address is 12 Gang Lotring , Jalan Pantai Kuta , Kuta , Bali 80361, Indonesia. We are easy to find with a Kuta EcoStay signpost in yellow on Jalan Pantai Kuta where our lane (gang) begins and another sign at Jalan Tegal Wangi where the gang ends. The gang is 100m long and we are located half way along the gang, right opposite a community temple called Sanga Dewa Yang.
For your information Lotring, after whom the gang was named, was a famous Balinese traditional dancer who created the Balinese welcome dance .We are proud to live in a lane (gang) named in his honour. Balinese dances are out of this world!
